AQWATEC Students Win Scholarships
Katie Benko
, ESE PhD student, has been awarded the 2007 National Water Research Institute (NWRI) Fellowship for her doctoral research project entitled "Treatment of co-produced water for beneficial use in Western United States using novel membrane systems". Katie has been selected among 70 applicants across the nation to receive this fellowship of up to $10,000 a year to support doctoral graduate research related to water. Katie is working with Professor Drewes as her faculty advisor. For more information click here. Nathan Hancock, ESE MS student, has been awarded a 2007 Rocky Mountain Sction AWWA (RMSAWWA) James B. Warner Scholarship. Nathan is working on an advanced brackish water desalination project funded by California Department of Water Resources (DWR). His faculty advisor is Professor Cath.

Jennifer Teerlink , ESE PhD student, has been awarded a grant from the 2007 Decentralized Systems Unsolicited Research Competition for Graduate Students. JT has been selected among many applicants across the nation to receive this fellowship of $25,000 to support doctoral graduate research related to decentralized systems.
